Vonn Bell has secured the New Orleans Saints secondary for years now, but is it time for the two to mutually part ways?

For New Orleans Saints’ fans, if there is any player that should be kept, it is Vonn Bell. However, I think that it will be better off for the Saints if they let Bell walk in free agency instead of paying him upwards of $6-7 million.

The New Orleans Saints have over 25 free agents going into this free agency period, but they also have developed quality backups to take the place of anyone who might leave. Therefore, no one should be worried about anyone leaving.

Besides Drew Brees, Taysom Hill, Teddy Bridgewater, AJ Klein, and Andrus Peat, Vonn Bell will be the biggest winner of this year’s free agency. His current contract sits at $993,000 (his rookie contract) and he is looking to make it multi-millions.

The Saints have made a living out of developing young players. The trust should come in the draft, not free agency. If the Saints were smart, they would let Vonn Bell take that contract from somewhere else and here is why.
