When you think about the needs of the New Orleans Saints heading into the 2020 offseason, you probably think wide receiver or secondary.

The New Orleans Saints have several linebackers hitting the free-agent market this offseason and several more within the next couple of years. The Saints need for linebackers is rapidly becoming a need the team should address as early as the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The New Orleans Saints have four linebackers hitting the market this offseason. Manti Te’o, Josh Martin, Stephone Anthony, and most notably AJ Klein are all set to become free agents this.

Obviously, players like Manti Teo, Josh Martin, and Stephone Anthony aren’t necessities but losing them certainly hurts the depth at the position.

AJ Klein would be a solid re-sign, but with him going into his eighth season in the NFL, who knows how much longer he’ll want to play before he hangs up the cleats. Klein has played in 103 career games racking up 337 tackles, 10.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and three interceptions.

Te’o has had a productive career as well playing in 62 games racking up 306 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions. Signing Klein and Te’o could be smart choices to add depth to the Saints but the problems run even deeper than those two.
