Number Three: Darron Lee

Darron Lee would fit in nicely with the New Orleans Saints. The 25-year-old linebacker played his college football for Ohio State back in the day, and we all know how much Sean Payton loves Ohio State players.

Lee signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 worth 1.84 million dollars. His price tag should be cheap in the 2020 offseason as well as he logged just 23 tackles all season. Lee was a backup in Kansas City and played a role on special teams and as extra depth at the linebacker position.

In New Orleans, Lee would be able to compete for a starting job with players like Alex Anzalone and Craig Robertson while not taking up too much cap space. The former first-round pick by the Jets has had a successful career thus far logging 264 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, three interceptions, eleven passes defended, and a touchdown.

Lee also manages to stay healthy. Despite the physical demand it takes to play the linebacker position in the NFL, Lee has not missed more than four games in a season so far in his career. The only reason he missed those four was for suspension. That was the only suspension of his career and I doubt it will scare teams away from trying to acquire the cheap talent.

The cheap price tag and high upside potential of Darron Lee should have the Saints drooling at the thought of being able to lure him to New Orleans for 2020 and beyond.
