Should the New Orleans Saints target the two recently-cut Redskins?

Redskins head coach Ron Rivera started his spring cleaning a few weeks early this year, cutting ties with two players who seemed like locks to stay on his 2020 roster. With limited cap space, the New Orleans Saints should at least look their direction.

Cornerback Josh Norman and wide receiver Paul Richardson were both released on Valentine’s Day and will hope that a new team falls in love with them sooner rather than later. Sadly, the Redskins, who will be rebuilding again in 2020, wasn’t that team.

Cornerback and wide receiver are both needs for the New Orleans Saints, but should they pursue the two veterans?

Paul Richardson and Josh Norman would both fill major voids in the two biggest areas of need for the New Orleans Saints.

Both players would be low-risk signings with a high upside. Also, both players could easily fill in as complements to the real stars, Michael Thomas and Marshon Lattimore.

Let’s take a look at why the Saints should waste no time trying to acquire this dynamic DC duo.
