New Orleans Saints: 3 teams that should sign Teddy Bridgewater
Number Two: The Chicago Bears
It’s obvious the Bears aren’t getting anywhere with Mitchell Trubisky under center.
The Bears are coming off an 8-8 season that was full of disappointment and doubt in the future of the Chicago quarterback situation.
Head coach Matt Nagy continues to state his faith in Mitchell Trubisky, but the front office may be tempted to acquire a guy like Teddy Bridgewater in the offseason. Mitchell Trubisky completed 63.2 percent of his passes last season for 3,138 yards, 17 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.
In 2019, the Bears had the fourth-best defense in the entire NFL.
Putting Teddy Bridgewater on a roster that has a top defense, solid receivers, and a young running back would be a blueprint for a deep playoff run.
Bridgewater is also a proven winner, making him an even better candidate. With a 22-12 career record as a starting quarterback as opposed to Trubisky’s 23-18 record, adding Teddy Bridgewater would put the Bears right back in contention in 2020.
