LSU, WR, Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson is a proactive athlete out of LSU. The national champion wide receiver boasts speed and agility on his route running technique. He is very coachable which will be a good quality under Sean Payton in New Orleans.

Wide receiver is probably the biggest hole that needs to be filled from last year. Wide receivers Ted Ginn and Tre’Quan Smith who was supposed to be the No. 2’s were big failures. It was very evident that the Saints need a playmaker opposite Michael Thomas.

In the first round, Jefferson could be that playmaker. He is a tall target standing at 6-foot-3 but his downfield speed could use some work. He is a lot like Michael Thomas in that he prefers shorter, cut routes than long, deep ones.

The best thing about Justin Jefferson is his immediate impact ability as well as his upside. The New Orleans Saints can take Justin Jefferson and make him a Michael Thomas. He has that kind of potential and that is what the Saints look for.
