Number Three: Kicker Wil Lutz

Wil Lutz has been the Saints’ starting kicker since 2016 when the franchise claimed him from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad. Following his rookie season, Lutz was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team.

Wil Lutz has won several NFC Special Teams Player of the Week awards throughout his successful career thus far. The Georgia State product was nominated for his first Pro Bowl in 2019 following a great season where he made 89 percent of his field goals.

Lutz has set numerous franchise records as well as a few NFL records too! Lutz has gone 119/136 on field goals in his young career and has made 196/202 career extra points as well.

Lutz is considered league-wide to be one of the most accurate kickers in the league, and his stats prove it. The Saints rewarded Lutz by inking him to a five year, 20.25 million dollar deal in 2019; making him the highest-paid kicker in NFL history.
