Trade down and select a middle-tier WR

The wide receiver class in the 2020 NFL Draft is far greater than our draft picks. The New Orleans Saints could take the 24th overall pick and trade down for a later first and a second or a second and a third.

They would still then be able to draft a middle-tier wide receiver which is who they would have drafted at the No. 24 spot in the first round anyway. They stay with the same talent, but they are also able to upgrade and get another pick in the process.

They could potentially get two middle-class wide receivers for the first-round pick. This trade deal is in everyone’s best interest. They could also take a late tier quarterback or cornerback in the same trade as getting a wide receiver.

The New Orleans Saints know how to draft well enough to take a second and third-round pick and turn them into stars. Because of that, no Saints’ fan should ever worry about not having a first-round pick. The more the picks the better.
