Trade up for a quarterback

One of the strongest upsides of the draft is the quarterback position. However, the New Orleans Saints are in a predicament. There are too many teams in front of them that also need a quarterback for them to get a top tier one.

Therefore for the New Orleans Saints to get a quarterback like Joe Burrow from LSU, Justin Herbert from Oregon, Tua Tagovailoa from Alabama, or Jordan Love from Utah State, they are going to need to trade up in the draft.

The Saints are missing a second-round pick, but they could use that to their advantage too. The Saints could package a first and multiple future picks in the first and second rounds to move up to get one of these top-tiered quarterbacks.

They could then sign back Drew Brees for a minimum contract and train the young star under Brees for one or two years. The New Orleans Saints could virtually make their own form of Aaron Rodger’s talent for their own.
