Re-sign safety Vonn Bell

The fourth-year safety out of Ohio State University has proven to be the lockdown secondary defender that the New Orleans Saints needed him to be. Between him and Marshon Lattimore, they are the glue that holds the secondary together on the two different levels.

Vonn Bell has played his entire four years with the New Orleans Saints, but he has earned the right to be paid the big money. His previous contract wasn’t even worth $1 million per year. Therefore, the Saints will have to fork over some money to re-sign him.

Based on his talent, he could be considered in the $9-11 million range with other safeties. Bell also has some flexibility that most other safeties don’t have. Throughout his four years in NOLA, Bell has played CB, MLB, SS, and FS.

Bell has one interception last year. He also had five passes deflected, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown), 1.5 sacks, 86 tackles, and four hits on the quarterback. Vonn Bell has proven his worth and the Saints need to re-sign him.
