Sign a top-five cornerback

The cornerback field is roughly the same as the wide receiver field. There are multiple low-cost options that the Saints could choose from, but there are also the high paid superstars that they should target if they can afford it.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith led the Ravens secondary last year. In his last full season, he had three interceptions with over forty tackles and a pair of touchdowns. He also added in a fumble recovery and nine passes deflected.

Logan Ryan is another cornerback at the top of the list. The Titans defensive back led the way with four interceptions, 18 passes deflected, four forced fumbles, 4.5 sacks, 113 tackles, eight hits on the quarterback, and four tackles for a loss.

The New Orleans Saints could also choose from Bradley Roby, Chris Harris, Aquib Talib, Ronald Darby, and Darqueze Dennard. Either way, the Saints could potentially hit the jackpot on a cornerback to play opposite Marshon Lattimore.
