Sign a top-five wide receiver

The wide receiver class in free agency is one of the deepest. The New Orleans Saints could virtually drop down and sign someone cheap like Breshad Perriman, Demaryius Thomas, or Nelson Agholor if they wanted to stay cheap.

However, they could also go big or go home with names like disgruntled Bengal, A.J. Green; Emmanuel Sanders, Amari Cooper, Devin Funchess, or Robby Anderson. These names would bring significant noise to the Saints alongside superstar Michael Thomas.

In a best-case scenario, the disgruntled A.J. Green sat out the entire year for the Cincinnati Bengals. He is as good as a guarantee to leave the Bengals so the Saints are a wide-open target, the biggest question mark is if they have the salary to handle Green.

In Cincinnati, he was making $15 million per year. If he would be willing to take under that to sign with the New Orleans Saints then he is a steal. If he won’t, the Saints should probably target a cheaper receiver like Anderson, Perriman, and so on.
