Number Two: The Saints will trade up in the draft for a quarterback

The New Orleans Saints (based off my bold predictions) will head into the 2020 draft with Taysom Hill as their signal-caller.

Saints’ head coach Sean Payton has been vocal about his feelings towards Taysom Hill and how he feels he could be the teams’ starting quarterback. Mickey Loomis, however, could go a completely different route.

The Saints currently own the 24th spot in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The draft is loaded with quarterback and wide receiver talent this year, making it quite appealing to potentially trade up and grab a franchise quarterback. Jordan Love is a guy who could slip to the Saints trade range.

Love is a six-foot-four, pro-style quarterback from Utah State. Love has been soaring up draft boards and in Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft, he actually has Love falling to the Saints at number 24.

If the Saints don’t think he will fall, I could see them trading up in the draft to grab either Love or possibly Justin Herbert depending on how the draft goes.

I fully expect the Saints to draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and potentially trade up and select their guy if need be.
