2002-2009. 25. 15. . Defensive End. player. . CharlesGrant

Charles Grant played his entire eight-year career with the New Orleans Saints. In his time with the Saints, Grant was never selected to a Pro-Bowl or put on an All-Pro list, but he faithfully started seven of his eight seasons on the defensive line.

For the majority of the beginning of the 2000s, Grant played alongside Will Smith (who you will find later on this list) and was a quality complimentary pass rushers on the opposite side.

Grant totaled 47 sacks, 430 tackles, 48 quarterback hits, and five fumble recoveries in those eight years. His best year by far was 2004 where he totaled 10.5 sacks and had 80 tackles. Charles Grant was effective in batting down passes from the line.

Through his career, he ended up batting down 31 passes, and he started a trend among lineman that still exists in the Saints organization today. Marcus Davenport and Cameron Jordan remind me of the times of Charles Grant and Will Smith.
