MortenAndersen. Pick Analysis. Kicker. 1982-1994. 18. player. Scouting Report. 15

Morten Andersen had a luxurious career in the NFL. He played with the New Orleans Saints for 13 years — the longest he was with a single team. He also played with the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and Minnesota Vikings.

His entire career lasted 25 years. Andersen holds a handful of Saints’ records along with all-time highs. Morten Andersen has made more field goals than any other Saint in history. He also leads the Saints in extra points made.

He held the record for best field goal percentage in a season until Wil Lutz broke it with over 87%. Andersen is the all-time leading scorer in New Orleans Saints history with 1,318 points — over 550 points more than the next closest person.

Morten Andersen embodies what it means to wear the fleur-de-lis and wear it proudly. Over his seasons with the Saints, he was selected to six Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro selections. He was also the latest of nine Saints to be placed into the NFL Hall-of-Fame.
