CB, James Bradberry (Carolina Panthers)

James Bradberry just finished his fourth year in the NFL — all with the Carolina Panthers. Bradberry is the Panthers No. 1 cornerback and played next to Josh Norman when he was there. Bradberry was Pro Football Focus’s top-ranked rookie in 2016.

Bradberry started 15 games for the Carolina Panthers last season. He totaled 65 tackles, 12 passes defended, three interceptions, and one sack. Bradberry was all over the field last season leading the Panther defense.

Bradberry is currently making just under $1 million per year. Eli Apple was making $3.8 million per year. If the New Orleans Saints can get Bradberry for anywhere relative to his old contract, he would be the best signing per talent in the market.

All five of these players would be not only accessible to the cap space of the New Orleans Saints but they would fill the gaps that need to be addressed. This would also allow for money to be allocated other places — like retaining all three quarterbacks.
