The NFL offseason is full of future potential at positions that need help, but the New Orleans Saints don’t have a lot of money to spend.

The New Orleans Saints have gaping holes in a few areas of their team. However, they do not have the money necessary to sign top-tiered players at all the positions they need help in.

With Andrus Peat open to free-agency, they need to let him walk away. He is not worth the money spent on him. Unfortunately, that leaves a hole in the offensive line at the guard position that will need to be filled this offseason.

Michael Thomas had a historic season with the Saints this year. Because of that, the New Orleans Saints had zero help from the rest of the wide receiving core. Ted Ginn and Keith Kirkwood need to be let go in free agency, and Tre’Quan Smith can’t be a No. 2 receiver — leaving a hole.

The last area that needs improvement is the cornerback or secondary. The safeties are pretty locked in with Robinson and Bell (assuming they re-sign him). Marshon Lattimore is a top-tiered cornerback. Eli Apple needs let go of in the offseason.

They signed Janoris Jenkins to a one year contract after he was let go from the New York Giants. He could be a viable option to replace Apple, but there are also several other candidates that could be filled in that position.

As you can see, the Saints need to be busy in free agency. Whether it is re-signing current players or filling gaps left by players let go, the Saints have plenty of opportunities. Here are five low-cost free agents to stay inside of the salary cap and fill all the holes.
