Urban Meyer (former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach)

Urban Meyer is one of the greatest college coaches to ever step on the sidelines and put on a headset. During his tenure at Ohio State and Florida, Meyer was 148-24 in 13 years as a head coach with those two programs mentioned.

He also went 10-3 in bowl games over the 13 years. Those stats are absolutely incredible from a coach. He never made his way to the NFL after several attempts from multiple teams but decided to stay in the college realm when he changed from Florida to Ohio State.

Urban Meyer retired from the Ohio State University in 2018. However, it has been rumored that several teams were interested in Meyer should he be ready to come back and move up to take on the role of coaching in the NFL.

There have been several successful coaches to make the jump from college to the professional leagues. Pete Carroll went from USC to Seattle and the Seahawks have thrived under his leadership. The Saints would be no different should Meyer decide to return from retirement.
