Josh McDaniels (current New England Patriots offensive coordinator)

Josh McDaniels has been one of the most sought after head coaches in the entire NFL. Over the past five years, McDaniels has generally been talked about in every big coaching decision that every team has had to make.

It is no surprise that a guy who has coached under one of the greatest head coaches now for 16 years as a personal assistant, defensive assistant, quarterbacks coach, and now as the offensive coordinator.

He took a short break to be the Broncos head coach for a year; He also served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Los Angeles Rams under Steve Spagnuolo.

While McDaniels was a head coach in Denver, he led the team to an 8-8 record and came up just short of the playoffs in the NFC. He ended up starting 2010 as the head coach, but after attaining a measly 3-9 record, he was let go by the organization.

Josh McDaniels has coached on both sides of the ball and has the knowledge to be one of the best current coaching prospects out there. If the New Orleans Saints were to walk away from Sean Payton, Josh McDaniels would be my No. 1 choice to replace him.
