No. 4 Defensive Tackle David Onyemata:

David Onyemata has been a very reliable defensive tackle since his fourth-round selection by the Saints back in 2016. The 27-year-old typically played around 60 percent of the team’s defensive snaps; sharing time with Malcom Brown, Sheldon Rankins, and Shy Tuttle.

Onyemata, who currently sits at 300 pounds to go along with his 6-foot-4 frame, has been highly productive as a defensive tackle. He has accumulated 123 tackles, 9.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and one forced fumble in his four-year career.

Onyemata has also been durable. Onyemata has only missed one game in his career, which was week one of the 2019 season due to a suspension. His numbers do not take your breath away but he’s constantly making clutch plays.

His lack of big numbers and his unrecognized name could make him a cheap resign as well. He played well as a starter this season racking up 32 tackles, three tackles for a loss, three sacks, eleven QB hits, and one pass deflected.

His lack of injury and consistent play should make him a top priority to be resigned this offseason.
