The New Orleans Saints are coming off three consecutive NFC South Division Championships and do not need too much movement in the offseason.

The New Orleans Saints’ primary focus should be retaining some key players and looking towards the draft to build on their current success. The Saints should dial in on the following five players this offseason.

No. 5 Quarterback Drew Brees:

Drew Brees has been the Saints signal-caller since 2006 and has racked up over 77,000 yards, 547 touchdowns, and has a career passer rating of 98.4.

Brees holds numerous NFL records including most career passing yards, most career pass completions, most career touchdown passes, highest career completion percentage, highest single-season completion percentage, most consecutive games with a touchdown pass, most touchdown passes in a game, and more!

A quarterback with a list of milestones and records like that most definitely deserves to be brought back for as long as he wants to play. He is still playing at a high level too!

Drew racked up 2,979 yards in 2019 while completing an NFL record 74.3 percent of his passes with 27 touchdowns.

His QBR of 116.3 ranked third best in the league behind likely MVP Lamar Jackson and last year’s MVP Patrick Mahomes. Drew also led the Saints to an 8-3 record despite missing five games with a thumb injury.

As the only quarterback to help lead the team to consistent playoff appearances and their lone Super Bowl win, Drew Brees has earned the right to be the Saints’ main focus this offseason.
