There’s no denying the New Orleans Saints season ended in disappointment, and now they need to find ways to improve their roster.

The New Orleans Saints do not need much going into the 2020 offseason.

But adding a solid cornerback to team up with Marshon Lattimore and Janoris Jenkins needs to be the main priority heading into the offseason. Saints’ Eli Apple is likely on his way out the door as his contract is now expired and his mediocre play just will not cut it for the Saints anymore.

Marshon Lattimore could be a potential hold-out candidate this offseason due to his exceptional play under his rookie contract. Janoris Jenkins is still a very effective cornerback, but he is getting older as he is 31 years old and will turn 32 early next season.

Aside from those two and Apple, the Saints don’t have much going for them among their cornerbacks. Obviously their secondary, with players like Vonn Bell and Marcus Williams, will help anchor down the defensive backs.

Overall, though, the Saints need help on the edge. With that in mind, here are a few scenarios I could see the Saints looking into.
