Marshon Lattimore

The next 2017 draft pick and fellow first-rounder is Marshon Lattimore.

Lattimore, like Ramczyk, has established himself as one of the best in the league at his position. Lattimore is the anchor with Vonn Bell to the New Orleans Saints’ secondary, a unit that was absolutely dominant at times this season.

Currently, Marshon Lattimore makes $3.839 million from his 2017 rookie contract. Lattimore is in the same bost as Ramczyk. Because he was a first-round pick, Lattimore is on a four-year contract with a fifth-year team option if they wanted.

To put that into perspective, the Saints cornerback Janoris Jenkins’s past contract paid him $12.5 million per year. Lattimore should be in the same discussion of those making roughly $12-13 million per year on average based on his talent in the last three years.

If Lattimore decided that the money is worth more than the risk of playing and not receiving a huge extension, he will likely hold out until it is required he show up or the New Orleans Saints pay him what he is going to be asking for.
