Ryan Ramczyk

Since Ryan Ramczyk was a first-round pick, his contract is a four-year guaranteed contract. Therefore, he wouldn’t technically be a free-agent until next year and even then it comes with a fifth-year team option attached to it.

His current salary is $8.849 million per year. His salary is higher than the average offensive lineman salary which is $1.267 million per year. However, Ryan Ramczyk is not just an average offensive lineman, he is considered one of the best in the league.

With that, comes the expectation that he should be paid like the best in the league. Just to put that into perspective — Raiders, Trent Brown makes $16.5 million; Giants’ Nate Solder makes $15.5 million; Chargers’ Russell Okung makes $13.2 million.

The top-ten offensive linemen in the league salary’s vary between $16.5 and $13.2 million and that are roughly what Ramczyk could command come to the start of next season. The New Orleans Saints are already pushed up against the top of the cap which could prove fatal.

If Ramczyk holds out to start training camp, the Saints could end up needed to pay Ramczyk north of $10 million per year.
