CeeDee Lamb | Oklahoma

CeeDee Lamb didn’t have as good of a 2019 campaign as he has had in previous years. The addition of Alabama transfer quarterback Jalen Hurts hurt Lamb’s overall effectiveness because Hurts isn’t as much of a pass-first quarterback.

Regardless of that, Lamb still had 62 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2019. CeeDee Lamb is an explosive wide receiver with the elite ability to win a contested battle for the ball in the air by finding it’s highest point.

He also does something that the others don’t, he is an effective pass blocker off-ball. He has good vision and knows when to bail a route to help his quarterback. He is capable of creating the separation needed for short and long routes as well.

Lamb has some room to grow, but so does every receiver that is in the draft. His route running could be better. Lamb will have the opportunity to play against Lattimore and Jenkins should the Saints show interest in him, and that will greatly benefit his weaknesses.

Lamb can fill any role that Payton will throw at him, and that kind of talent is something that always intrigues the New Orleans Saints coaching staff.
