Laviska Shenault, Jr. | Colorado University

Shenault, Jr. is a 6-foot-2 wide receiver out of Colorado University. He is only a junior, but he is declaring early for the draft. In his junior year, Shenault finished with 52 catches for 721 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 136 rushing yards as well.

Shenault is an outside receiver but can play the slot on command as well. He has a thick built frame that allows him to bully cornerbacks around. He has the vision to make good decisions and the explosiveness to get behind the defenders.

Shenault does need a little work on his route running and off-ball blocking, but that can be easily adjusted by the Saints coaching staff. He does not have a long list of negatives to go over, but as any rookie does, he has things to work on.

Shenault could be a key weapon for Sean Payton as he is the type of coach who values versatility. He offers a distinctive skill set that isn’t found in every wide receiver and with the ability to come from the outside into the slot, Shenault should make Payton very happy.
