The New Orleans Saints need to address their wide receiver problems; if they don’t do it in free agency, they’ll need to do it in the draft.

The New Orleans Saints need a No. 2 wide receiver.

That is not new news to anyone. Ted Ginn will certainly be let go as he is a free agent this year. Keith Kirkwood missed all of last year with an injury, so who knows how he will bounce back from that.

Tre’Quan Smith got more opportunity than Kirkwood did, but Smith did not do anything with that opportunity. Because of that, the Saints are in desperate need of a No. 2 receiver to pair with Michael Thomas who is coming off of a historical season.

Their options are, in reality, narrowed down to the free agency and the draft. They could target players like Amari Cooper in free agency, but those types of players are going to cost them money they are worth in the long run.

The other option is to draft and develop their own talent. It is also no secret that the New Orleans Saints’ coaching staff do a great job of selecting and developing their own talent. Just look at the 2017 draft class which included Lattimore, Kamara, Ramczyk, and a couple of other starters.

Here are five wide receivers that the New Orleans Saints could snag in the draft to replace Ginn.
