Teddy Bridgewater, quarterback

This is another instance, like A.J. Klein, where the New Orleans Saints just need to let go of Teddy Bridgewater. This is one of those bittersweet moments in the life of a football organization. They gave Teddy the chance to come back after his injury.

Teddy Bridgewater took that chance and signed a minimal deal with the Saints to backup Brees. Through the efforts of the Saints staff and coaches, after Brees went down with a thumb injury, Bridgewater got his start and excelled leading the Saints 5-0 through that stretch.

The Saints are not going to be able to afford what Bridgewater will be asking for this, and on top of that, there will be other teams in need of a starting quarterback gunning to him hard. The Saints are going to have to bite the bullet and keep Brees and Hill and let Teddy thrive elsewhere.

Teddy is a guy that you would hate to see go as a New Orleans Saints fan, but one of those guys where you can love him where ever he ends up playing next. Bridgewater will always be a fan favorite in New Orleans, but he too deserves his chance to start somewhere.
