The New Orleans Saints have 27 free agents going into 2020; there are tough decisions that will have to be made on who to keep and who to let go.

After an exciting season, the New Orleans Saints finished 13-3 with the No. 3 seed in the playoffs. They didn’t get a first-round bye, but all was good, they were still projected to be in the Super Bowl and one of the best playoff teams.

That dream turned into a nightmare quickly as the New Orleans Saints lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Another early exit for one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl is discouraging.

It also leaves a lot of looming questions surrounding the coach, staff, and players. What needs to change for the nightmare not to happen again. This year, the Saints are dealing with over half of their 53-man roster in free agency.

That includes all three, star quarterbacks — Hill, Bridgewater, and Brees. However, the opportunity is there to rebuild the weaknesses and keep the strengths. The Saints need to focus on getting rid of the “dead weight” and focus on a young core that will produce.

In order to achieve that, here are five players the Saints will need to part ways with, in 2020.
