Emmanuel Sanders

Emmanuel Sanders is the older player on this list of three, however, the incredible style of leadership he displayed for the 49ers this year proves he is still worthy of a huge contract. Sanders could help Thomas become even better.

Before his trade to San Francisco midseason, Sanders had 30 receptions for 367 yards and two touchdowns with the Denver Broncos. Since the trade, Sanders has had 36 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns. Give him a good team, you get a better Sanders.

Not only does Sanders bring the numbers that we are looking for, but he also brings the mentorship in a two for one combo that could help Thomas more than just getting open. Sanders will bring veteran leadership that will help lead the receiving core as well.

That will bring more insight into the development of Tre’Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood. I’m not saying Michael Thomas doesn’t have the capability to help develop, but Thomas is still in his prime focusing on his career, Sanders is at a point where he is doing both.
