Miami Dolphins at draft spot No. 5

The Miami Dolphins are the No. 1 team with their eyes set on Tua Tagovailoa. They are also the most likely to draft Tua so the Saints would likely need to trade up to this draft spot for 100% surety to draft the Alabama quarterback.

The Miami Dolphins’ biggest need is a quarterback to lead the team. The Dolphins were the only team interested in Teddy Bridgewater last year before the Saints signed him. They wanted him to be the scapegoat for the tank-like season that they had.

Instead, they elected to go with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The easiest scenario to bring the Miami Dolphins to trade this draft pick would to do a sign and trade with Teddy Bridgewater and add in a couple picks for a counter pick from them. That is a hefty load to give up, but that is what it is going to take to pry them from Tua.

Tua could spend the next two years behind Drew Brees training like Aaron Rodgers behind Brett Favre. Teddy is ready to start now and the Dolphins need an immediate impact starter. In essence, this is Tua for Teddy and two other picks.
