Vonn Bell is the leader of the Saints’ secondary.

Just like in soccer, the goalie is the leader of the team. Why? He can see everything and most likely should see it before it even happens. So is the safety in football, he sees things play out before they happen. That is the importance of having a quality safety.

Those are the attributes that Vonn Bell personifies. Vonn Bell took this secondary led by him and Marshon Lattimore and turned them into a part of a top-five defense not only in the NFC but in the entire NFL, there should be something said about that.

The money Vonn Bell is requiring is nothing compared to the defensive leaders that he can be compared too. Therefore, his leadership and quality of talent is just another reason that the New Orleans Saints should re-sign the safety Vonn Bell.
