They start out playing the worst team in the NFC Bracket

Let’s just state two obvious things.

Yes, the New Orleans Saints would rather have a first-round bye than to play in the wild card. Yes, the Minnesota Vikings are not the worst team in the NFC, but in terms of who’s in the playoffs, they are the clear worst.

However, in terms of the situation, they are in. Matching up against the Minnesota Vikings instead of the Seattle Seahawks or Philadelphia Eagles is the best-case scenario for the New Orleans Saints.

If they continue to play the way that they have been, the Minnesota Vikings should not be a hard task, and it should be a 20+ blowout win. Dalvin Cook is coming off of a serious injury, and Kirk Cousins, when he is pressured, is not an accurate quarterback.

Meanwhile, the defense of the Minnesota Vikings is 15th in passing defense and 13th in rushing. Compare that to the New Orleans passing and running efficiency, this matchup is all but over from the being. They are the easiest first-round opponent.
