Tre’Quan Smith

Tre’Quan Smith finished his 2019 campaign with six games started and 11 games played in. He finished with 18 receptions for 234 yards and five touchdowns. Out of those five touchdowns, four of them came in the last five games of the season.

The New Orleans Saints desperately needed a No. 2 wide receiver. We have talked for weeks on the possibility of signing Dez Bryant or Antonio Brown. All the while, Smith was secretly making a run at an up and coming young wide receiver.

Tre’Quan Smith was supposed to be the clear cut No. 2 wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints. After multiple injuries to start the year, fans started to question whether Smith was the right option or if the Saints should go to play B and bypass the development of Smith.

Not only does Tre’Quan Smith need to play big to help the Saints rise over the Vikings in the wild card and dive deep into the playoffs. He needs to play big to prove to the team and the coaches that he deserves to be in the position he is in.
