Sean Payton (HC)

Unfortunately, there is no surprise here. Unlike the Cleveland Browns who had roughly a new coach for every year of the decade, Sean Payton has been the head coach of the New Orleans Saints since 2006.

For the entire decade, the Saints have only known Payton to be their battle-day commander-in-chief. The stability and prosperity that can bring to a team show through Payton making the playoffs six times and having an all-time record with the Saints fo 131-77 or .630.

Sean Payton won his only Super Bowl as a head coach with the New Orleans Saints in 2009 as he entered this decade. He had also previously won AP Coach of the Year in 2006 when he became the coach of the Saints.

Payton’s good fortune is not going anywhere for a long time. Sean Payton is the Bill Belichek of the south. As long as Sean Payton is at the helm of the ship, you will never see more than a couple of bad years of Saints teams.

Payton is currently 56 and has spent his entire head coaching career with the New Orleans Saints. He should be on retainer for the Saints for a long time to come. Buckle up Saints’ fans, Sean Payton is here for another decade.
