As we close the 2010 decade and open up the 2020 decade, who makes up the best New Orleans Saints’ team of the decade?

The last decade was a roller coaster for the New Orleans Saints organization, players, coaches, and fans altogether. The decade started on a high winning the Super Bowl in the 2009 season and the future looked as bright as it could be — or did it.

Now that we are on the outside looking back, we see that the 2010s did not bring the joy and satisfaction that Saints’ fans might have been looking for.

The New Orleans Saints won the NFC South division four times in those ten years (2011, 2017, 2018, and 2019). They made the playoffs in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2019 — with no Super Bowls or conference championships to show for it.

At least they made the playoffs more than they missed them, though.

New Orleans’ fans have a lot to cheer for and the Saints give them a perennially good team year-in and year-out. For that reason, Saints fans should be in love with their team even in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 down years.

Now, a team is made up of the success of the players on that team. Throughout the decade, the Saints have seen players come in and move on — some heartbreaks and others were reasons for celebrations. However, through all of that, there has to be the best.

Here is the 2010’s New Orleans Saints “All-Decade” team.
