The offense

Offensively, some of the major keys for the New Orleans Saints will be slowing down the Minnesota Vikings pass rush, led by defensive ends Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen who both combine for 22.5 sacks this season.

Secondly, utilizing running backs Alvin Kamara and Latavious Murray early and often in the passing game to create favorable matchups against the Vikings linebackers would definitely bode well in keeping pressure off Drew Brees.

Defensively, the Minnesota Vikings are stout on the front and back ends, but they are more vulnerable to the pass. This year the Vikings rank 15th in yards given up through the air, with the bulk of those yards going to their opponent’s wide receivers where they rank 25th.

With that kind of vulnerability in the secondary for the Minnesota Vikings, Michael Thomas and big-play tight end Jared Cook, who continues weekly to show why the Saints went out and signed him, could have huge days.

The dynamic duo has combined for 192 catches, over 2000-plus yards and 18 touchdowns, proving to be major contributors to this New Orleans Saints explosive offensive.
