The NFL announced the 2020 Pro Bowl and the New Orleans Saints found out they have five starters and seven total team members voted to Hawaii.

When the NFL Pro Bowl roster was released, the New Orleans Saints were in pure joy. They had the most players selected from the NFC and the second most from the entire NFL. They were second only to the Baltimore Ravens who had 12 total selections to the AFC team.

Let’s take a minute and meet our 2020 NFL Pro Bowl New Orleans Saints’ representatives. (Starters will be first indicated by an asterisk).

Wide Receiver – Michael Thomas *

This is no surprise. Michael Thomas is having a historic year. He is still looking to break Marvin Harrison‘s single-season receptions record. On the season, Thomas has 133 receptions for over 1,500 yards and 8 touchdowns. All except touchdowns are career highs.

Defensive End – Cameron Jordan *

In his ninth year, Jordan is having the best year of his career. His goal in mind is 20.0 sacks on the year. Right now, Jordan has 48 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 23 QB hits, and 1 fumble recovery. He has been the most dominant force on one of the NFL’s best rushing defenses.

Cornerback – Marshon Lattimore *

More from Who Dat Dish

Marshon Lattimore is having a Pro Bowl type of season. He has 51 tackles, 13 pass defends, and one interception in 2019. The Saints’ secondary has struggled quite a bit this season, but Lattimore has been a strong force that has been the most reliable.

Kicker – Wil Lutz *

In the 2019 season, Lutz has made 97.4% of his extra-point attempts — only missing one. He has an 88.6% field goal made percentage — the best of his career. He has also scored more points this season then he has in his career with 31 field goals made, his longest being 58 yards!

Return Specialist – Deonte Harris *

Rookie return specialist Deonte Harris made his name most known in the game against the 49ers. He had a couple of 35+ yard kick returns. On the season, Harris has over 700 return yards and one touchdown. His longest returns are over 50 yards in punts and kicks.

Tackle – Terron Armstead

Terron Armstead has bee the glue on one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. They have allowed Drew Brees to throw for 21 touchdowns. They allowed Latavius Murray two 100-yard rushing games. Armstead has also played in only three games under 100% of offensive snaps.

Quarterback – Drew Brees

Another historical Saint selected to Pro Bowl. Brees passed Peyton Manning‘s most touchdowns in a career last week against the Indianapolis Colts. On the season, Brees has 2,447 yards and 21 touchdowns in only 9 games. He also has the best completion percentage of his career.

Next. Prediction the NFC playoffs. dark

Of course, all of the New Orleans fans hope that the Saints are not apart of the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl. We love the selections and the recognition that comes with it, but when it comes down to it, we hope that the New Orleans Saints are playing for a Super Bowl victory, not a Pro Bowl one.
