Saints rookies receive unofficial jersey numbers

Pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together for the New Orleans Saints. And it’s not how you might think.

It was observed earlier today that the entire New Orleans Saints 2017 NFL Draft rookie class have chosen jersey numbers as the Saints Official Rookie Camp started today. For those of you who don’t know, the Rookie Mini Camp is what it says, a mini-camp held for rookies entering the NFL. This event usually takes place weeks prior to the official NFL Training Camp.

As of now, there is about a month and change until training camp commences. So it doesn’t surprise anyone that jersey numbers have appeared.

For eager fans awaiting to purchase new Saints jerseys, this news is honestly really exciting because numbers, although they may be unofficial, are starting to finally be shown.

Let’s make an obvious note that these numbers are not set in stone. 

As weeks wind down it wouldn’t personally surprise me after more cuts take place that some if not all of the rookies decide to change their jersey numbers. Here is where the New Orleans Saints 2017 NFL Draft currently stands as far as their jersey numbers go.

College: Ohio State

1st Round Selection: OT Ryan Ramczyk

College: Wisconsin

“Current” Jersey Number: 71

2nd Round Selection: FS Marcus Wiliams

College: Utah

“Current” Jersey Number: 43

3rd Round Selection: RB Alvin Kamara

College: Tennessee

“Current” Jersey Number: 41

3rd Round Selection: LB Alex Anzalone

College: Florida

“Current” Jersey Number: 47

3rd Round Selection: DE Trey Hendrickson

College: Florida Atlantic

6th Round Selection: DE Al-Quadin Muhammad
