New Orleans Saints fans thrilled to see Brandon Browner out the door
Brandon Browner was cut by the New Orleans Saints. Fans across the ‘Who Dat Nation’ were very pleased to hear the expected news.
The New Orleans Saints have parted ways with cornerback Brandon Browner, who ended up being one of the most underperforming free agent signings in franchise history just one year into his tenure with the Black and Gold.
Brandon Browner took to social media last month to announce that he would not be returning to New Orleans in 2016. Reports followed up with news that the Saints would be releasing him when the new league year and free agency period officially get underway, which was Wednesday as of 3:00 PM CST.

The New Orleans Saints signed Brandon Browner to a three-year deal worth $15 million last offseason in free agency. Rather than being the physical defensive presence known for his leadership qualities as a back-to-back Super Bowl champion with both the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, he was not only the most disappointing player in New Orleans, but he graded out as the worst cornerback in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus.
Brandon Browner helped lead the way to a historically bad defense, where the Saints allowed an all-time NFL record of 45 passing touchdowns during the 2015 season, in addition to a 116.2 passer rating, also an NFL worst.
Between poor on-field performances, meltdowns in the locker room, and unnecessary social media rants, the Saints and their fans, unfortunately, have had enough of Brandon Browner.
