Needless to say, there’s a lot going on in the football world right now. For the New Orleans Saints, they have been quite the ‘busy bees’. We’ve done our best to keep you up to do date on all breaking news and dealings, but let’s get you caught up on a few stories you might not have seen.

Before we do, let’s bring you some interesting news from NFL Media Insider, Ian Rappoport. As per reports, the Saints and Jets are reportedly interested in free agent wide receiver, Sidney Rice.

Katherine Terrell | NOLA.com | Former New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper agrees to terms with the Carolina Panthers, report says

"Former New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN.Harper agreed to terms on a two-year, $4.5 million deal that includes a $1.5 million signing bonus, ESPN reported."

Harper becomes the third member of the Saints to find a new home this off-season (Darren Sproles, Malcolm Jenkins). It’s good news for Harper, as he should be starting for former Panthers safety Quintin Mikell, who left for free agency. It’s weird to think that we will play against him twice a year, but that’s the nature of the business. I will tell you this, I can’t wait until the Panthers and Ravens play each other (Steve Smith) this year.

Mike Triplett | ESPN.com | Saints mull change at fullback

"The New Orleans Saints brought in free-agent fullback Erik Lorig for a visit on Friday, a league source confirmed. Lorig, 27, has spent the past four years with the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers"

I am a huge fan of Jed Collins, but it sounds that the team may look at someone to get more active in the offense. Lorig has a size advantage over Collins, which fits the bill for what the Saints are trying to do on offense in 2014 (or at least what we think they are going to do). The team has expressed their interest in bringing back Collins, but this will be one to keep an eye on.

Lastly, we would like to tell you that wide receiver Lance Moore is visiting the Steelers.
