Well, maybe that’s not entirely true. There’s one thing they do agree on; the New Orleans Saints should be in it. That in itself is entirely understandable. In fact, we should have been in it. We came closer than most people realize, and perhaps as few as 6 plays in the entire season kept us out of the NFC Championship game.

Today I was curious about a few things, and they had to do with fan attitude before the championship game. I decided to do an impromptu poll and see where the fan’s heads were at. The questions in my mind were simple:

  • Were most of the fans going to watch?
  • Were they going to root for the Seattle Seahawks for NFC Conference pride?
  • Were they going to root for the Denver Broncos out of spite?
  • Did they even give a rat’s-azz about it at all?

“Ahem”… Let’s see, where were we? Oh, yeah… The Seachickens aren’t real popular in the WhoDat Nation.

Hmmm… It seems we have some Pete Carroll issues. I can’t say as I blame them. Tell you what, we’ll close with the opinion of a Saints fan with a broader if not cynical view:
