The Saints were captained under center by Drew Brees led the league with a career high 5,476 yards and 47 total touchdowns, earning NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Second Team All Pro honors.  Saints running Darren Sproles also made history, setting the NFL record all purpose yards in a single season with 2,696 yards.  His versatility solidified his status as a dynamic offensive weapon and constant threat as a runner, receiver and returner.
