Madden 11 Roster Update: Colston, Jenkins, Moore See Rating Increase

facebooktwitterreddit

The week fifteen Madden roster and ratings update is out and several Saints players received a boost in their rating while one players was actually decreased.

Wide receiver marques Colston is back into the 90’s receiving a two point increase from 88 to 90 overall.

The move of course is indicative of his play of late, catching seven touchdown passes in the last seven games. Colston now has 76 receptions on the season for 921 yards to go along with his seven touchdown grabs.

This could be the season he finally makes a Pro Bowl after being snubbed in past seasons, the Saints sure are happy that they took Colston in the seventh round during the 2006 draft.

Free safety Malcolm Jenkins has played well enough that he  is favored over future Hall of Fame safety Darren Sharper as the starting free safety in the Saints defense.

That is saying alot considering Sharper is only a year removed from a record breaking nine interception season.

His outstanding play has earned hin an increase from 82 to 84 overall after a two interception performance against the St. Louis Rams including one he returned 96 yards for a touchdown.

Lance Moore is also getting rating increase from a 79 to 80 overall which is long overdue.

He is considered one of the smartest and most sure handed of the Saints receivers who has developed into Drew Brees favorite target on third downs. Moore has caught 54 passes for 636 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season.

Tight end Jeremy Shockey has been decreased from 86 to 85 overall after again failing to produce for the second week in a row.

Shockey hurt his rib in week 9 and missed two games against the Seahawks and the Cowboys before returning to action against the Bengals, so far this year he has caught 37 passes for 371 yards and three touchdowns.

Other changes include:

  • Pierre Thomas moved to running back #1 on the depth chart.
  • Chase Daniel’s face mask was changed to the three bar style.
  • Chris Ivory’s equipment changed to standard three helmet, robot facemask.
  • Marques Colston changed to revospeed robot 2 facemask, clear visor, black wristbands, solid black gloves, nike zoom vapor.
