Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you’ve probably heard the news — Coach Sean Payton, GM Mickey Loomis and the New Orleans Saints worked their magic to acquire free agent CB Brandon Browner.
He is a back-to-back Super Bowl champion, hoisting the Lombardi Trophy most recently with the New England Patriots and before that with the Seattle Seahawks. In 45 games played, Browner has tallied 142 combined tackles, 45 passes defended, 11 interceptions, three forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.
His man-to-man presence opposite Keenan Lewis will without doubt solidify the Saints’ struggling secondary. Brandon Browner is a top-notch acquisition in the Big Easy. He will not only help on the field, but he will also help lead in the locker room as an incredible veteran presence. Now, the Saints can relax and focus more of their attention on the rest of the defense and offensive line in the draft.
This how Saints players and fans reacted on Twitter to the Brandon Browner signing:
Welcome my dawg @bbrowner27 to the Who Dat Nation.

After the acquisition of Brandon Browner, the Saints’ struggling secondary certainly looks to be solidified with Keenan Lewis, Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro, assuming he bounces back from a sophomore slump, and assuming none of these guys are traded away. The new and improved “no-fly zone” should be well-intact come September.
