Bryan Edwards, WR

Three years ago, Bryan Edwards was coming out of South Carolina and receiving plenty of Alshon Jeffery comparisons. As a third-round pick by the Raiders, Edwards was viewed by many as a possible steal in that 2020 NFL Draft.

After all, he had all of the prototypical physical traits you wanted in a true, alpha outside receiver. However, between injuries and simply not living up to his potential, Edwards' career has taken a turn that his fans and supporters didn't exactly see coming.

Edwards is now on his fourth NFL team after being drafted by Las Vegas, playing in Atlanta, spending a short stint with Kansas City and now entering training camp with New Orleans. Currently, depth charts have him as the backup to Michael Thomas, which could put him roughly fourth or fifth in the pecking order.

Edwards is still just 24 years old. He has a ton of football in front of him, if he allows himself to see it. This is all on him. The physical tools have been there. But, mental mistakes have taken away opportunities for him to further his development and see more playing time.

With Thomas' health seemingly always in question, Edwards could be one play away from seeing major playing time. Will he prove he deserves it throughout the summer months?
