Rookies report for training camp Wednesday for the New Orleans Saints at their facility, finally marking the starting point down for the Saints 2023 season.
We’re here. We’re finally here. Yes, it’s only rookie reporting day for the New Orleans Saints, but as my fellow wrestling fans will understand “it’s still real to us darn it!” (Paraphrasing but you get the idea). The point is, with OTAs a thing of the past as well as offseason festivities, we can now say that Saints season has officially started. What a time to be alive.
They’re already some notable moves for this Dennis Allen-led crew, as not every rookie will be participating, at least not right out of the gate.
To quote Kevin Bacon in Animal House, “Remain calm. All is well.” This is the kind of precautionary thing that tends to happen at the onset of training camp, as there’s still a ton of camp left to train in.

Apart from the position battles to come, such as outside cornerback opposite Marshon Lattimore, and the acclamation of Derek Carr in the Big Easy, one of the most exciting things to watch this time of year is just how the new rookie arrivals will fare in the NFL.
Fortunately, the Saints and their fans won’t have to deal with HBO’s Hard Knocks to get a glimpse, especially with THOSE headaches already starting to come out of the woodwork as everyone feared. Probably why no team exactly jumped at the chance, but that’s a discussion for another day.
This time of year can sometimes seem long, with the start of actual football games just on the horizon. Fortunately though, the dog days of summer are officially behind us, and with the 2023 New Orleans Saints season officially underway with rookies reporting for training camp, we can’t wait to follow along and see just what happens. #Vibes are high.
