John spends the majority of his time in the bank, working as a Personal Banker. He has taken a great interest in furthering his writing, and started blogging on the New Orleans Saints & other NFL topics back in July 2012. He resides in Slidell, LA - which is only a short drive away from New Orleans. John grew up a sports fan, and has followed the NFL since the age of 5. He considers himself a walking encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to the NFL History. John's path with Who Dat Dish started out as a contributing writer, and was promoted as a Co-Managing Editor just several months later. He primarily handles the social media aspect of WDD. He's anxious to see where his writing abilities may take him. He is happily married to his beautiful wife, Stephanie, since October 2011, and just had his first child (a son) in December of 2013. He previously wrote independently for 1st & 5 (www.firstand5.blogspot.com), and has dedicated a great deal of time covering the New Orleans Saints. He also is an avid LSU Tigers Football fan and Detroit Red Wings fan.
On Twitter, you can find writer Barry Hirstius @HarahanWhoDat ..... Barry Hirstius is a 47 year old former professional journalist who was recently lured out of "retirement" --- he is now a Grandfather of 2 beautiful little girls, and a long-time New Orleans Saints fan for over 40 years. A native of New Orleans who now resides in the Midwest (Indiana, in the heart of Indianapolis Colts country), he sometimes goes by the nickname of "HarahanWhoDat"; a nod to the suburb of New Orleans that he grew up in as a kid. He has both laughed as well as cried throughout the years, over the exploits of both good and bad with his beloved team; and his wish is to see the Saints win another Super Bowl --- a wish that originally began when his beloved "Paw Paw" took him to his first-ever game at the old Tulane Stadium in uptown New Orleans, on his 6th birthday......

New Orleans native now living in the Tar Heel State. Senior Journalism major. I have been a Saints fan my entire life and a fan of sports since I was a little kid. Sports provides the inspiration for all of us to go after what we want in life. Whether it is a big tackle, game winning touchdown, or overcoming incredible odds. Sports shows us that anything is possible with enough hard work, perseverance, and passion.
I'm a student of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Udine (Italy). I like writing and playing the guitar. A lot. When I discovered NFL football I immediately fell in love with the New Orleans Saints.
We aren't called FanSided for nothing. Our network of sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites are powered by fans that want to cover their passions! Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.
Our work is regularly featured on SI.com and Bleacher Report and many FanSided writers have gone on to work full-time in online media. FanSided hired over ten of its own writers in 2013 and there are currently FanSided alums working at other major media outlets and with professional sports teams.
FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
