The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will renew their rivalry in 2022 as each team seeks to dominate the NFC South.

Some things have changed since 2021 while others have stayed the same.

Newly promoted head coaches Dennis Allen and Todd Bowles will face off for the first time while Jameis Winston will look to outsling the ball against Ceedy Duce’s favorite victim Tom Brady.

Saints fans will remember that glorious shutout of Tom Brady for years to come, but Tampa’s offense is no joke in 2022. Tom Brady unfortunately continues to age like fine wine and will have very dangerous weapons in the form of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Russell Gage.

The Saints didn’t just twiddle their thumbs this offseason, though — the offense got a massive facelift with acquisitions like Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry and will hopefully see the triumphant comeback of Michael Thomas.

Tampa have historically had the upper hand in the postseason, but the Saints have enjoyed a long streak of regular season success against their division rivals.

These two NFC South heavyweights will battle it out this season, and only one will come out on top.

Here are three advantages the Saints have over the Buccaneers in 2022.
