New Orleans Saints roster: Predicting 2022 starting defensive lineup

Starting Linebackers: Demario Davis, Pete Werner
This is another easy starting position to predict. Demario Davis has aged like a fine wine and is still giving the Saints quality performances despite coming off of his age-32 season. Pete Werner teamed up nicely with Davis and fans are excited to see what year two has in store for Werner.
Davis signed a one-year contract extension this offseason, which was well-deserved. The guy consistently has 100+ tackles every year and he rarely misses time. He’s the sideline-to-sideline linebacker that every NFL team dreams of having.
Werner was a second-round pick in last year’s draft and put on a strong rookie performance. He could certainly become the next victim of the sophomore slump but fans are hoping to see big things from Werner in 2022.
Behind these two are Kaden Elliss and rookie fifth-round pick D’Marco Jackson. Zack Baun should make the team but only as a special teams contributor. He could win the backup job over Jackson but he certainly isn’t winning a starting gig.
